Stage Experience 2.0
Fun fact: I have a similar entry on my blog already :) It was somewhere in September, I was so overwhelmed with my first big event that I couldn't but share my feelings here. Anyway, it's time to tell you more!
To tell the truth, it is extremely difficult to choose only one event to share, that is why I will talk about the brightest highlights of my stage experience and then the choice will be made. (Disclaimer: all of the stories are from my University years, because school time was too long ago)
1. Performances with DOBRO
What a surprise! I bet you had no idea that I would start with it, right?
1.1 Alright, the most recent one — I was singing on stage with a couple of girls during the contest of professional skills. (December, 25th, 2021) There were more than 300 people in the audience and, I guess, it's quite impressive.
1.2 "S. Show" (from my blog post I've mentioned) I was the host of the show and had so much fun teasing the audience. (September, 7th, 2021) Not so many people, around 50, but they liked it!
1.3 Dancing at the concert of LUNN's unions. Nothing special, just a dramatic dance. (September, 3rd, 2021) It was a full house. Our Big Assembly Hall was filled with young freshmen.
1.4 The opening of the sports festival. Many important people from the city's administration, young athletes and other people from our organization. (March, 20th, 2021)
1.5 Gathering of young counselors of NN region. (April, 24th, 2021) The delegation of 500 people!
1.6 Concert of drama by DOBRO. (March, 2021) 100 people in the Hall.
Done with DOBRO! (Of course, there were much more performances, but those were the greatest) Let’s move on!
2. Performances with my group mates
Actually, we are great at acting, singing and dancing. I have no idea why we do it only a couple of times a year.
2.1 Little freshmen at our chair's Thanksgiving Party of 2019. Look at us, truly fresh and eager to study! Sometimes I miss those times.
2.2 Phonetics Contest of 2021, we wrote our own rap song about phonetics and added a dance to our performance.
2.3 Christmas Party 2021, our great family presented a skit and persuaded Grinch to give Christmas back.
2.4 We all remember our Thanksgiving Quest :) The biggest pain in my neck, but it went great! I danced with the participants and they looked so refreshed after it.
3. Performances at the summer camp
Finally, the last nomination! Do you want to learn how to fight the stage fright? Perform every day for 42 days in a row :) There were so many performances both with my kids and with my colleagues, but we had no time to take a picture. We were singing, dancing, acting, playing magic tricks and whatsoever. A counselor is a person that can do anything!
Sooo, who's the winner? The concert of drama by DOBRO (1.6) Congratulations! Alright, it was one of my first performances with these people and I truly cherish this memory. I was a sarcastic black cat and I was supposed to prevent a dragon from talking to my witch. And then we danced with the cast of the play. I felt so happy and I heard our hearts beat together! It's more about the team anyway. If you're surrounded by people that accept and love you the way you are, you won't be afraid of anything (specifically, acting on stage)
